EPL Review: Stoke City 3-2 Arsenal (No commitment on the pitch and on the bench)

No commitment was shown on the pitch as well as from the bench as Arsenal’s disastrous season got more sickening as Arsenal lost 3-2 away to Stoke City.

It took just 20 seconds for Stoke to take the lead against the Gunners. The Arsenal players were completely out of focus from the very beginning and it got worse as the half progressed. Stoke were 3-0 up at half-time. That scoreline is pathetic and disgraceful for a team like Arsenal Football Club. The manager just kept on sitting on his bench and didn’t do anything to motivate the players. This shows the lack of passion the manager has for his job anymore. He doesn’t answer any of his critics nor he listens to the fans of the football club. He just think what’s good for him and his players and how to finish in the top 4. That’s his only ambition and it has been his ambition ever since we moved to the Emirates Stadium.

Even though the Gunners pulled two goals back from a Santi Cazorla penalty goal and a Ramsey screamer it was too little too late at the end as Calum Chambers red card offence totally killed all the momentum Arsenal mananged to gain in the second half.

EPL Preview: Stoke City vs. Arsenal (Need to keep going)

Stoke-vs-Arsenal-

After 2 back to back narrow wins in the league, Arsenal will now travel to the daunting Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City. The Gunners have always struggled at the Britannia Stadium but they are now in a situation to win at all cost to stay in touch with the top 4 teams.

TEAM NEWS: Gibbs could be back while Theo Walcott is still out.

Alexis Sanchez’s late winner against Southampton helped the Gunners to keep in close touch with the top 4 sides and the Gunners would need to keep that winning spirit alive if they are to beat a strong Stoke side. After the loss to Manchester United, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now under the spotlight and he will be criticized for every single mistake he makes so it’s necessary that the players respond and prove to people that all is not wrong at Arsenal Football Club.

EPL Review: Arsenal 1-0 Southampton (Alexis to the rescue)

10846216_10152683278212713_7910132630230569876_n

Alexis Sanchez to the rescue as Arsenal secured their 2nd consecutive league game win after a 1-0 win over Southampton at Emirates Stadium in the Barclays Premier League.

It was a big match as Southampton are enjoying one of their finest starts to a season ever so Arsenal needed to stay calm and composed. It was a tight affair with both sides cancelling one another out until the very last minute of the match. But, it was Arsenal who were able to break the deadlock in the 89th minute through an opportunistic goal from the man himself Alexis Sanchez. This win moves the Gunners up a place to 6th in the Barclays Premier League table.

EPL Preview: Arsenal vs. Southampton (Can we go on a winning run now?)

Can the Gunners go on a winning run now will the the question on every Arsenal fans mind right now as they prepare to play a run of important games to end 2014.

TEAM NEWS: Monreal and Gibbs are doubts, Szczesny is still out while Debuchy and Ospina are two weeks away.

Southampton thrashed Arsenal earlier in the season in the Capital One Cup so the Gunners knows that this is a big game. Southampton are also having one of their finest start to a season as currently they are sitting pretty inside the top 4. So, after last week’s 1-0 win against West Brom, the Gunners will need to put on another positive performance if they are to beat a team that’s inside the top 4 for the first time this season.

EPL Review: West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Arsenal (Much better performance)

10372177_10152674237047713_1655032401848220388_n

It was a much better performance from Arsenal as they beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at the Hawthorns to get their first league game win after 2 consecutive losses.

The Gunners needed to be patient and solid and Laurent Koscielny’s return to the squad had massively benefited our defense. It took the Gunners 60 minutes to finally break the deadlock through a great cross from Santi Cazorla which was headed in fantastically by Danny Welbeck. Although the final 10 minutes was a bit nervous, the boys stayed solid and were able to finish the line and get all 3 points at the end of the day.

EPL Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs. Arsenal (It’s time to get serious)

It’s time to get serious as after a rejuvenating big match win against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal will now travel to the Hawthorns to face a daunting task against West Bromwich Albion in the Barclays Premier League.

TEAM NEWS: Jack Wilshere is out for 3 months with an ankle injury, Szczesny and Walcott are still out while Danny Welbeck faces a late fitness test. Koscielny is back in the squad.

In the pre-match interview, Wenger has made clear that in order to have a strong finish to the season his side needs to improve and build on the win against Dortmund until February of 2015 and for that they must take 3 points from this match up. The Gunners have been very poor in the league so far and if not for Alexis Sanchez they would have been struggling amongst the relegation area. With injuries piling up with each match, Arsenal needs to dig deep and find inspiration through some way to at least continue their yearly routine finish inside the top 4.

EPL Review: Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United (Wenger is finished…)

1601549_10152659409327713_477643663886979792_n

Another weekend. Another big team. Another loss. That’s the moral of the story for each and every Arsenal fan since 2005. But, now things are worse than ever before because we couldn’t even beat the poorest Manchester United team in years. We should have beaten them last year under Moyes, we didn’t and now we haven’t beaten them under van Gaal who is a great manager but was struggling to get wins under his belt. Manchester United got their first away win of the season against us and that’s saying something. Out of all the places that they have visited till now, they could only beat us so what does that say something about us? Mr. Arsene Wenger should stop living in the past glory and adapt to today’s climate as soon as possible because I am 100% sure now that we won’t beat any of the big sides under him anymore. We should have accepted that a long time ago but it has now reached it’s boiling point and it’s totally unacceptable.

Some fans will say that we were better in the first half but could’t take our chances and that’s where the problem lies. We have seen performances like this from us for a very long time now that I can easily predict the outcome of the match. It doesn’t matter if you were better in the 1st half or in the 2nd half, it’s a game of two halves my friends and Arsenal Football Club doesn’t know how to keep their focus throughout the whole 90 minutes and our players are not just good enough to beat any big teams not to mention the big trophies. They are simply just not good enough. Gibbs scored an own goal through a wicked deflection to give them the lead and then Wayne Rooney put the Red Devils on winning position with a superb counter attacking goal. Although, Olivier Giroud scored a brilliant left footed goal on his return game, it was too late to salvage anything from the match.

EPL Preview: Arsenal vs. Manchester United (Is it time to finally beat them?)

Arsenal-vs-Manchester-United

After a horrendous away defeat to Swansea and a much needed international break it’s time to get back to business in the Barclays Premier League as the Gunners host Manchester United at Emirates Stadium.

TEAM NEWS: Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta are fit and ready for selection.

It’s been a one sided fixture for the last decade or so with Manchester United beating, battering and humiliating the North London side in many of the meetings. After Alex Ferguson’s departure it was believed that now Arsenal will finally be able to get one over them but that was the not the case because even though the Red Devils finished outside of the top 4, Arsenal just couldn’t break their much publicized “mental block” against the bigger sides like Manchester United. Having sacked Ferguson’s successor David Moyes, the red half of Manchester is now under the hands of Louis van Gaal and it would be interesting to see who will be able to get the last laugh in this one because van Gaal is known as the master tactician and Wenger, err, not so quite especially this season with his side failing to convert draws into wins. Arsene Wenger is now under more pressure than ever before because the fans are now starting to totally lose their faith in the manager after all the promises which now looks a big fat lie.

Anyways, with the return of Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta plus the goal-scoring threat of Alexis Sanchez, the Gunners have a chance to finally do the business against the Red Devils.

EPL Review: Swansea City 2-1 Arsenal (Wenger has lost the plot)

10641298_10152633787832713_3947547020458638045_n

Wenger has lost the plot as Arsenal’s miserable season continues as they lost away to Swansea City in the Barclays Premier League. The whole club is in a mess right now and it’s all Wenger and the board’s doing. They are now facing the consequences of their lack of transfer business at the tail end of the summer transfer window.

The match was uneventful, boring for the first 60 minutes. Arsenal looked completely disjointed and lethargic in the first half but were able to get the lead after 60 minutes through another Alexis Sanchez goal which was set up brilliantly by Danny Welbeck. But, just like in midweek the Gunners again let their lead slip as Swansea quickly equalized from a superb free kick goal from Sigurdsson and immediately took the lead as their substitute, Gomis made an instant impact by heading in the winning goal. Arsenal’s defense are in shambles. After the match, Arsene Wenger admitted that the title race is now over for the men in red & white who will now once again aim to finish in the top 4 come May of 2015.

EPL Preview: Swansea City vs. Arsenal (What will happen next?)

super-sunday-swansea-arsenal-badge-preview_3226038

What will happen next is the question on everyone’s mind as after that crazy 3-3 result in the midweek against Anderlecht at home, Arsenal will now travel to Wales to face a decent Swansea side.

This is a huge game for the Gunners as after this there will be an international break and right after that we will face Manchester United at home so in order to get a momentum going, the men in red and white needs to get all 3 points even if it looks highly unlikely with them having a stop and start kind of a season so far. Alexis Sanchez is clearly the main man for the Gunners and it’s about time when somebody else takes some pressure off him and this is where players like Aaron Ramsey needs to step up. Arsene Wenger too have criticized his midfielder and advised him to keep his priorities right and do what’s best for the team.

Arsenal have struggled previously at the Liberty Stadium but they need to to keep their focus and grind out a positive result here if they are to move back into the top 4 in the Barclays Premier League table.
