EPL Review: Stoke City 1-0 Arsenal (Deja vu all over again)
It’s deja vu all over again as like the last 8 years, Arsenal have started to fall and their title challenge is slowly but surely beginning to fade away. Arsenal lost 1-0 against Stoke away and have now slipped to third in the league.
It was a very passive, uninterested, pathetic performance from the men in red and white who were calling themselves a potential title contender until the end of February but after their performance last night they might as well laugh at themselves for thinking that way as it was an embarrassing performance against a side which broke one of our players leg about 4 years ago. But, that didn’t motivated the players, they looked scared and lethargic. Very disappointing to watch for the fans. Stoke were the better team on the day and won through a penalty in the final 20 minutes scored by Walters. Arsenal did had a golden chance to equalize in the dying minutes but their summer signing Yaya Sanogo missed a sitter.
After that setback, Arsenal now finds themselves at third in the Barclays Premier League. It was the worst possible start for the Gunners who have a big month of March ahead and looking at the schedule, this game against Stoke was their best chance of winning but they couldn’t get the job done.
